About Riva One

Riva One is a private residence operated by RIVA ONE (PTY) LTD, 1 Stern Close, Camps Bay, Cape Town, 8005, South Africa. These terms and conditions apply to all reservations made directly with Riva One or through third-party booking platforms.

By making a reservation at Riva One you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions on behalf of yourself and all guests in your party.

Reservations & deposits

A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from Riva One. The following deposit schedule applies to all direct bookings:

• 25% of the total stay is due at the time of booking to secure the reservation
• A further 25% of the total stay is due 30 days prior to your arrival date
• The remaining balance is due and payable in full upon check-in
• Any additional charges incurred during your stay may be settled on departure

All rates quoted are inclusive of VAT and any applicable government taxes.

Payment

• Credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB
• Debit cards: Visa/Delta
• Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
• Cash (South African Rand)

At check-in, guests are required to present a valid credit or debit card, which will be swiped and recorded in your presence for identity verification and as a security deposit.

Cancellation policy

• More than 30 days before arrival: full refund of all deposits paid, less any non-recoverable fees
• 15–30 days before arrival: the first 25% deposit is forfeited; any second deposit is refunded
• Fewer than 14 days before arrival: all deposits are forfeited and the full balance becomes due
• Non-arrival (no-show): the full reservation value is charged

Riva One strongly recommends that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover.

Check-in & check-out

• Check-in time: from 14:00 (2pm)
• Check-out time: by 11:00 (11am)

By law, all guests are required to present their passport or national identity document at check-in.

Guests & visitors

All facilities at Riva One are for the exclusive use of registered, paying guests. Visitors must be announced to staff in advance and may not stay overnight unless fully checked in.

Guest conduct & house rules

• No unlawful activity or disturbance to other guests or neighbours
• Noise kept considerate, particularly 22:00–08:00
• No smoking anywhere inside the property
• Pets not permitted without prior written consent
• Guests must comply with reasonable staff instructions

Damage & liability

Guests are responsible for any loss or damage caused during their stay. By making a reservation, you authorise Riva One to charge your registered card for any damage incurred.

Property liability

Riva One cannot accept liability for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our gross negligence. Guests use the pool, jacuzzi, and outdoor areas entirely at their own risk.

Privacy & data

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Riva One reserves the right to update these terms at any time; changes are published on this page.
